Minor League Safe At Home Awareness Nights
This summer Safe At Home partnered with two minor league teams to host "Safe At Home Awareness Nights" raising awareness about domestic violence. In June, Joe made a special appearance at the Staten Island Yankees game and was interviewed on-field by Borough President James Oddo about Safe At Home's work helping children. In August, the Brooklyn Cyclones hosted a celebrity softball game, where Joe was joined by Rosanna Scotto and Greg Kelly of Good Day New York. Following the softball game Joe was honored by the Brooklyn Cadets, the team he played for when he was in his teens.
Safe At Home thanks the generosity of the teams for making these events possible as well as the Staten Island Yankees Foundation and Wearsafe for their generous donations.
