CANCELED – The Annual Los Angeles Dinner has been canceled for 2020!

On behalf of the Safe At Home team, our Dinner Co-Chairs, and our Dinner Committee Members, we are letting you know that Safe At Home’s Annual Los Angeles Dinner – scheduled for April 23 and then postponed to September 10 – has been canceled this year. We plan to have this event in April 2021, and are excited to announce that this year’s Changemaker Honoree, Linda Perry, has already agreed to join us.

Canceling this event is a difficult decision for our organization; Safe At Home relies on this income to support our prevention and intervention programs for youth exposed to violence and abuse. Unfortunately, that need is greater than ever during the current pandemic. The number of incidents and the intensity of domestic violence and child abuse often increase during the most stressful of times.

Despite our schools being closed, we are working tirelessly to support our participants. Our counselors have established open hours on virtual platforms, are providing resources, and are fully preparing to offer our entire suite of programming online through partnerships with the schools in fall of 2020.

We ask that if you are able to help us – and more importantly, our youth, during this time – that you consider making a gift to our organization.

We want to thank you, as always, for your partnership and support through the years.
