This year, students at all of our locations commemorated Domestic Violence Awareness Month by running school-wide awareness campaigns in October. Our schools featured an activity that encouraged students to think about how they can make change and how they can speak out against violence. These ideas were turned into action items students can take throughout the year – and were displayed on bulletin boards in school hallways.
Our therapists also shared information on how to identify warning signs of abuse and violence, and how to get help for themselves or for a friend.
With 13,000 students in our school locations, our awareness campaigns allow us to touch the lives of all our students and get them to think critically on their role as advocates against violence.
